Changing Leads...

A lead change refers to a horse leading with the front leg at the canter or run. Horses need to be on the right lead in order to achieve perfect balance. This process comes naturally but sometimes the horse gets confused and has trouble balancing when the weight of a rider is added.

Like horses, humans also get off balance due to the weight of stress and other everyday issues. By changing their lead on life, people are able to better balance thier lives, overcome obstacles and obtain a better sense of self and others.

Equine Assisted Growth and Learning is experiential, which means clients learn about themselves and others through experiences, and then discuss feelings. Most activities are focused on ground work with the horse, not riding or horsemanship. No experience is needed.

"There is nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse." - Will Rogers
